Midthunder was raised in New Shiprock Mexico. She belongs to the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe. She was born on the Navajo Nation in Shiprock, New Mexico, and eventually returned there after spending much of her childhood in Santa Fe, where she went to an Academy for Technology and the Classics and where her mother was employed in a casting firm. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both members are of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mom has been taken in by her mother. Amber has unknown her mixed family background. Prey is a film with an extensive Native American contingent, which includes Dakota Beavers in the role of Naru's younger brother, and Jhane MYERS JHANE MYERS, a Comanche and Blackfeet producer who advised on the project in a large way. Coco, the adorable animal actress who plays Sarii was selected for her unique breed of dog that is known as the American Dingo. It's also known as the Carolina Dog and it's one of the oldest breeds in existence.
